General Questions about SNOW

What platforms is SNOW available on?

The SNOW Beta is currently available on PC (through Steam) and on PlayStation 4. Click here to visit each platform's store page.

Is SNOW available on Mac OS X?

We hope to  eventually release SNOW on Mac but this depends on Crytek, the company who develops CRYENGINE, the game engine we use to make SNOW. Unfortunately we don’t have a release date for Mac support at this point.

When will I be able to place my own jumps in SNOW?

The Prop Tool was added to SNOW in the 0.9.0 Game Update in December 2016. Learn more about it here.

Will SNOW be released on Xbox One?

Right now we have an exclusivity deal with Sony. We will investigate a potential Xbox One release once the exclusivity period with Sony finishes in 2017.

When will SNOW be released on PS4?

SNOW is currently available on PS4 as an Early Access Beta. Click here to visit the PlayStation Store page.

Technical Questions about SNOW

What system specs do I need to play SNOW?

The minimum recommended specs to run SNOW on your PC are:

Minimum:
OS: Windows Vista SP1, Windows 7, Windows 8, Ubuntu 14.04 or SteamOS
Processor: Intel Dual-Core 2GHz or AMD Dual-Core 2GHz
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 400 series or AMD Radeon HD 6000 series
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Hard Drive: 10 GB available space
Additional Notes: The system requirements are provided as a baseline for development, but are not guaranteed due to the game currently being in development. Requirements may be changed as the game progresses. Note: Integrated graphics cards are not supported.

Recommended:
Memory: 8 GB RAM
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection

Why do I get an error message saying that my graphics card is not supported?

Your computer is using an unsupported or integrated graphics card and we are no longer able to support this type of hardware. We are no longer able to support systems running on DirectX10 as CRYENGINE now only supports graphics cards using DirectX11.

When I launch SNOW I get an error message about missing files. What should I do?

There’s a simple fix to this issue. Right-click on the SNOW application in your Steam library and go to properties. Then select “Verify integrity of game cache”. After it has completed its scan and downloaded the missing files, launch SNOW.
