Is the game called "SNOW The Game"?
No, the game is just called SNOW. Obviously was unavailable as a website, so we went with This does not mean that the name of the game is "SNOW The Game" - that's just silly.

What platforms can I play SNOW on?
SNOW is currently available on PC through Steam Early Access. In the future we will be adding support for Mac, Linux, and PlayStation 4.

I thought SNOW was supposed to be Free-to-Play - why do I have to pay for it now?
SNOW is Free-To-Play but if you would like to skip the Closed Beta queue and get instant access to the game you can buy the pass for $9.99.

Will SNOW be available on Mac?
We will eventually release SNOW on Mac but this depends on Crytek, the company who runs CRYENGINE, the game engine we use to make SNOW. Unfortunately we don’t have a release date for the Mac update at this point.

When will SNOW come out on PS4?
We expect to release SNOW on PS4 before the end of 2015. We can’t share any specific release date at this point but we hope to have more news soon.

Will SNOW be released on XBox One?
Right now we have an exclusivity deal with Sony. We will investigate a potential XBox One release once the exclusivity period with Sony finishes.

When will snowboarding come?
We will implement snowboarding in the future but first we want to make sure skiing gameplay is perfect. We also want to finish implementing some additional core features.

When will I received my Closed Beta invite?
We have started to invite new users into the Closed Beta on a rolling basis. You will get your invitation depending on when you signed up to the Closed Beta. We need to limit the amount of new users to make sure our servers can handle the load.

Why can’t I select the Multiplayer option in the game?
Multiplayer is currently not working. We are still working on this feature and we hope to release this within the next few months. Thank you for your patience.

Technical Questions

When I launch SNOW I get an error message about missing files. What should I do?
There’s a simple fix to this issue. Right-click on the SNOW app in Steam and go to properties. Then select “Verify integrity of game cache”. Then launch SNOW.

My character is all stretched out and looks like he exploded. Is there a fix?
Please update the driver of your graphics card. This should fix your issue.

Why do I get an error message saying that my graphics card is not supported?
Your computer is using an unsupported or integrated graphics card and we are no longer able to support this type of hardware. We are no longer able to support systems running on DirectX10 as CRYENGINE now only supports graphics cards using DirectX11.

What system specs do I need to play SNOW?
The minimum recommended specs to run SNOW on your PC are:
