General Questions about SNOW

Is the game called "SNOW The Game"?

No, the game is just called SNOW. Obviously snow.com was unavailable as a website, so we went with snowthegame.com. This does not mean that the name of the game is "SNOW The Game" - that's just silly.

What platforms is SNOW available on?

SNOW is currently available on PC and Linux through Steam Early Access. In the future we will be adding support for Mac OS X and PlayStation 4.

Is SNOW available on Mac OS X?

We will eventually release SNOW on Mac but this depends on Crytek, the company who runs CRYENGINE, the game engine we use to make SNOW. Unfortunately we don’t have a release date for Mac support at this point.

When will I be able to place my own jumps in SNOW?

This is one of our top priorities. We hope to ship this feature before the summer.

When will snowmobiles be added to the game?

We will roll out snowmobiles once we have implemented snowboarding.

When will snowboarding be added to the game?

This is our number one priority. We hope to launch snowboards in the next few months. We will share more information on this as soon as we are close to release.

Will SNOW be released on Xbox One?

Right now we have an exclusivity deal with Sony. We will investigate a potential Xbox One release once the exclusivity period with Sony finishes.

When will SNOW be released on PS4?

This is now one of our top priorities with the PC Open Beta out. We expect to release a Closed Beta in the next few months but we can’t share any specific release date at this point but we hope to have more news soon.

Here are instructions on how to create a DxDiag Report.

Why do I get an error message saying that my graphics card is not supported?

Your computer is using an unsupported or integrated graphics card and we are no longer able to support this type of hardware. We are no longer able to support systems running on DirectX10 as CRYENGINE now only supports graphics cards using DirectX11.

When I launch SNOW I get an error message about missing files. What should I do?

There’s a simple fix to this issue. Right-click on the SNOW application in your Steam library and go to properties. Then select “Verify integrity of game cache”. After it has completed it's scan and downloaded the missing files, launch SNOW.
