SNOW update

We just deployed another SNOW main client update, this patch includes quite a few fixes for some known issues. Note that this is purely a maintenance patch, the next content update will be 0.5.3 that is currently scheduled for late May or early June.

  • Fixed a bunch of cases where the UI tiles could become black
  • Fixed bindings not staying attached to ski after crash
  • Fixed music volume setting not being remembered
  • Fixed DUALSHOCK 4 (PlayStation 4) gamepads not being recognized by the game
  • Fixed possible corruption with entity properties
  • Fixed possible crash in CSki
  • Fixed player being able to cycle time of day in menus
  • Fixed default loadout not always being read from backend correctly
  • Fixed inability to return from certain menus
  • Fixed option values saving immediately when clicked
  • Fixed backend events being incorrectly dispatched at shutdown
  • Fixed a few cases where UI descriptions would get cut off
  • Implemented proper resizing of UI hit boxes - Fixes issue where button indicators would be incorrectly triggered when clicked
  • Added support for quickly respawning on the last session marker by holding the session marker key
  • Fixed ability to hide main menu while crashed
  • Fixed a possible session marker crash
  • Fixed area analytics events being sent with empty strings
  • Removed obsolete warning that was being sent to analytics
  • Added placeholder round display to the event HUD
  • Events now only show HUD elements relevant to the event type - Hides score etc when not counted
  • Added animation to event countdown
  • Fixed a bug where timer would not be shown for events with time limits
  • Implemented support for detecting which stopping animation to use (left or right)
  • Fixed flashlight not working
  • Added safety area for mouse when using a gamepad - Ignore tiny movements
  • Added store character animations
  • Fixed a few cases where returning to the previous UI action would result in an invalid scene
  • Fixed combo being counted outside event areas
  • Fixed inability to scroll stats using gamepad
  • Fixed store currency text placement
  • Fixed design and animations for "Insufficient Funds" modal
  • Fixed a bunch of possible issues with purchasing flow
  • Fixed leaderboards being overlayed on top of each other
  • Fixed rare issue where the user would be unable to proceed with loading events and levels
  • Fixed music manager not updating soundtrack volume correctly
  • Fixed skier sounds ceasing to play after menu was opened once
  • Fixed possible crash if we received a backend response after its listener was destroyed
  • Integrated more detailed warnings for session registration / backend connectivity failure
  • Fixed surface types sometimes not being initialized after level loading - Resulting in an inability to turn
  • Fixed cases where the release event on buttons would be ignored - Resulted in the player continuously stopping even when the stop button wasn't held down
  • Fixed a few drone camera bugs
