General Questions about SNOW

What platforms is SNOW available on?

SNOW is currently available on PC (through Steam) and in Beta on PlayStation 4. Click here to visit each platform's store page.

Is SNOW available on Mac OS X?

We hope to  eventually release SNOW on Mac, but at this point this isn't available. Unfortunately we don’t have a release date for Mac support at this point.

Technical Questions about SNOW

I didn't receive my Ultimate Edition DLC!

If you have previously (before the SNOW 1.0.0 launch on February 14th 2019) purchased Credits or DLC you are entitled to receive a free copy of The Ultimate Edition DLC. If you believe you should have received it, but do not have access to the content, please contact support here or by emailing [email protected]

When I launch SNOW I see a black screen but can hear music, what's going on?

We are aware of an issue with certain graphics cards where the game does not boot in the proper resolution. If you hit ALT + ENTER this should fix the problem.

What system specs do I need to play SNOW?

The minimum recommended specs to run SNOW on your PC are:

OS: Windows Vista SP1, Windows 7, Windows 8, Ubuntu 14.04 or SteamOS
Processor: Intel Dual-Core 2GHz or AMD Dual-Core 2GHz
Memory: 4 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce 400 series or AMD Radeon HD 6000 series
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection
Hard Drive: 10 GB available space
Additional Notes: The system requirements are provided as a baseline for development, but are not guaranteed due to the game currently being in development. Requirements may be changed as the game progresses. Note: Integrated graphics cards are not supported.

Memory: 8 GB RAM
DirectX: Version 11
Network: Broadband Internet connection

Why do I get an error message saying that my graphics card is not supported?

Your computer is using an unsupported or integrated graphics card and we are no longer able to support this type of hardware. We are no longer able to support systems running on DirectX10 as CRYENGINE now only supports graphics cards using DirectX11.

When I launch SNOW I get an error message about missing files. What should I do?

There’s a simple fix to this issue. Right-click on the SNOW application in your Steam library and go to properties. Then select “Verify integrity of game cache”. After it has completed its scan and downloaded the missing files, launch SNOW.
